PRESENTATION EVENING Held on 7th.DECEMBER.

The Delabole Development Group, as a partner in the Camelot Country Community Interest Company, invited all those interested in the delelopment and sale of 14 low cost 2 and 3 bedroomed homes off The Sidings,to a presentation on the evening of 7th. December at Delabole School.

The site will be known as Blakes Close and the scheduled completion date is late May 2012---just in time to put up the Diamond Jubilee bunting! 

Detailed plans were on view and representatives from Cornwall Community Land Trust and from a local mortgage company were on hand to answer questions.

Blakes Close is not specifically for first time buyers----it is for people who have a connection with the village who would like to have the opportunity to make their home here: the Camelot Country C.I.C. are delighted to have been able to spearhead this initiative.

 

 


 

It is with great pleasure that I can report that Mi Space has started work clearing the site at the sidings to be known as Blakes Close, today Tuesday 27th of September 2011. On the right is a JCB at work with the Fire Station in the background.

It has been reported that work will commence at Blakes Close at the Sidings at the end of September with site clearance work beginning about mid October.

 

All loan finances have now been signed.  Completion of the land purchase will be on the 5th. August.

 

The Site is currently being cleared of trees in preparation for the site to be leveled. The Ecology report has now been completed.

 

The 106 agreement for the affordable housing at Blakes Close at the Sidings Delabole has now been signed and is in the hands of the Council

 

Tenders were now being prepared to be sent to 4 companies and we should have the results within 6 weeks by which time the planning should be determined.

 

The CDCDT (Camelford and Delabole Community Development Trust has changed its name to "Camelot Country" a Community Interest Company. The change better enables us to work to provide affordable housing for local people.
